Info of Cannon Shooter

Cannon Shooter is the 3rd Pirate class Adventurer that is released. He is considered a Special Adventurer and as such, his skills cannot be stolen by Phantom.

Cannon Shooter’s Origin

You are cruising on a ship until a balrog suddenly invades the ship and thrown you off-board which results in you being unconscious.
When you regain consciousness, you find a monkey in front of you. Soon, you realised that the monkey saved your life. You thanked him and ask if there is anyone else on the island and he points over to Cutter who then asks you to retrieve some items for him so that you can escape from the island. Once you’re done, you bid goodbyes to the monkey, but when you arrive at the Nautilus, you realize that the monkey had came along with you! He then becomes your partner and you set off for a new journey.

      Reasons –
Level 1 Cannon Spike to replace Scatter Shot. Level 1 Cannon Jump for extra mobility. Max Reinforced Cannon for more damage. Max Cannon Spike next as it is spam-able and likely be your main attack skill. Max Counter Crush next for a chance of extra hit when monster attack you. Max Pirate Rush next for extra survivability. Max Luck of the Dice for the buff. Max Monkey Madness as it is better than Monkey Wave as it does not require to charge. Max Barrel Roulette next as it will be useful. Finally, max Cannon Jump for lower MP Cost and higher range. Dump the rest to the last skill.

      Possible Alternatives:
Monkey Madness OR Monkey Wave – Choice of which to max

This 2 skills are generally the less useful skills and will not have any uses after 3rd Job. I would prefer Monkey Madness as it does not require charging and has a passive effect.

      Level 198 : 3 Nautilus Strike
      Level 199 : 3 Nautilus Strike
      Level 200 : 3 Nautilus Strike

      Summary/End Results –

1 SP to all skills exceptMaple Warrior, Hero’s Will, Pirate’s Spirit
        2 Mega Monkey Magic
        Max Double Down->Max Cannon Overload-> Max Pirate’s Spirit-> Max Cannon Barrage->Max Cannon Bazooka->Max Mega Monkey Magic-> Max Monkey Militia->Max Anchors Away->Max Maple Warrior->1 Hero’s Will->27Nautilus Strike

        Reasons –
Level 2 Hyper Monkey Spell again as it gives 1 more stat on level 2. (which will subsequently only give 1 more every 2 levels) Max Double Down as it is awesome and does not take much to max. Max Cannon Overload next for high damage output increase. Max Pirate’s Spirit next for more Counter chances and higher DPS. Max Cannon Barrage & Cannon Bazooka is pretty self-explanatory. Cannon Barrage is for bossing while Cannon Bazooka is for training. Max Mega Monkey Magic next for more stats followed by Monkey Militia for higher damage and duration. Max Anchors Away next as this skill is generally a utility skill followed by Maple Warrior if you managed to get MW 20 and 30. You can leave Maple Warrior at level 29 if you do not have Decent Combat Order. Leave Hero’s Will at level 1 or 5 and dump the rest to Nautilus Strike which is pretty useless other than its awesome animation.

        Possible Alternatives:
Party/Stats Build – Max Mega Monkey Magic after maxing Cannon Overload.
Adopt this build if you need more DEX. Sometimes, it is also easier to find party when you have maxed Mega Monkey Magic

        Differences from the main build:
        … ->Max Cannon Overload->Max Mega Monkey Magic->Max Pirate’s Spirit-> Max Cannon Barrage->Max Cannon Bazooka-> …

Training Build – Max Cannon Bazooka instead of Cannon Barrage
Generally, I think that at this level, bossing are more important than training. However, I will leave the choice to you.

        Differences from the main build:
        … ->Max Pirate’s Spirit->Max Cannon Bazooka->Max Cannon Barrage->Max Mega Monkey Magic-> …

You may also want to consider the Hybrid build where you up both Cannon Bazooka and Cannon Barrage equally.

        Suggested Training Areas

Note 1: This Section is built based on Korean Data. As such, World Tour Areas are not included in the training guide. There might also be slight differences in the data from version to version.
Note 2: The Training Areas provided are for reference only. You should adjust them according to your playing style and preferences.
Note 3: Monsters Data are correct as of Justice Patch. Monsters changes to Omega Sector, Orbis and Ludibrium are reflected.

Level 10-15: Blue Ribbon Pigs at Nautilus
Level 15-20: (Angry) Starfish at Nautilus
Level 18-20: Golem at Henesys Golem Temple
        Level 21-25: Jellyfish at Nautilus
Level 20-25: Mixed Golem at its Mini-Dungeon
Level 25-30: Ice Golem & Flame Golem at Henesys Golem Temple
        Level 30-40: Mushroom Castle Quests/Training
King Yeti and Pepe provides good EXP and provides drops scroll in a revamp before Justice. Enjoy it till Mikhail Patch arrives which ruins it. Before the nerf, I would strongly recommend you to stay there till you at least reach level 50.

Level 40-46: Copper Drakes/Drakes/Red Drake & the associated Quests at Sleepywood Dungeon
Level 40-50: CDs OR Mannequins at Kerning Square
CDs are ideal, but if you cannot find any map there, Mannequins are good too.

Level 45-52: White Fang at El Nath (The Map with the Merchant NPC)
Level 50-70: Chryse Quest and Training
The repeatable quest give decent EXP till 65. You can do it after completing the quest chain.

Level 60-70: Toy Trojans at Ludibrium
Level 62-70: Robo and/or Master Robo at Ludibrium Toy Factory
        Level 62-75: Mateon/Zeta Gray/Ultra Gray/Plateon/Mecateon at Omega Sector
Zeta Gray and Mecateon drops Angelic Bless Recipe.

Level 65-78: Sand Rats and/or Sciopoins at Magatia
Flat maps with high spawn rate. Sahel 2 has better spawn rate though.

Level 70-83: Iron Mutae at Magatia
Flat map with high spawn rate.

Level 70-82: Straw Target Dummy at Mu Lung
Like Triple Rumo, Straw Target Dummy drops Angelic Bless Recipe too.

Level 70-84: Triple Rumo at Magatia
Triple Rumo drops Angelic Bless Recipe. Furthermore, the maps is flat and high spawn rate. However, the area boss that spawn occasionally here can be quite irritating.

Level 80-90: Roid and/or Neo Huroid at Magatia
Both maps are flat which makes a good training area.

        Level 84-92: Homun at Magatia
        Level 85-93: Saitie at Magatia
Small and flat map. However, the spawn rate is not that good.

        Level 90-98: Homunculus at Magatia
Level 94-110: Kru and Captain at Herb Town
Flat maps with awesome spawn. However, maps are pretty scarce here.

Level 100-108: Ghost Pirate at Ludibrium Clock Tower
Alternative if you cannot find map at Pirates.

Level 105-120: Dual Ghost Pirate at Ludibrium Clock Tower
        Awesome spawn rate.

Level 105-125: Master Death Teddy at Ludibrium Clock Tower
MDT drops Angelic Bless Recipe. However, they hit hard and you can almost never find map here.

Level 115-120: Spirit Viking at Ludibrium Clock Tower
Level 117-125: Gigantic Spirit Viking at Ludibrium Clock Tower
        Level 120 onwards: Bossing
Papulutus and Zakum is pretty much the options for anybody. Zakum Arm Training is pretty good if you cannot down the entire Zakum. Cross Hunter are a good source of EXP as well. (after the Cross Hunter expansion in Justice)

        Level 120-140: Monsters in Leafre
Level 135 onwards: Time Temple and Future Ereve

        Others

You should also consider the following as they give very good EXP.
        Cross-Hunter Quests:
Quest-line start at level 75. Quest EXP is pretty decent at the respective levels and daily 15 access does give some good EXP.

        Aswan
Monster Spam in Party Hell Mode gives godlike EXP. However, it was nerfed in the following patch. Aswan modes were also removed when Dual Blade Revamp was released.

        Monster Park
        Level 60-95; 135-165; 160 and above

        Party Quests
Level 50 and above. Good at all levels especially after 110 where grinding turns tedious and slow.

The following are recommended to be completed due to their rewards

Recommended to do only after you hit 4th Job. Can be skipped if you do not require the Ring.
