Level 26 : 3 Cannon Punch
Level 27 : 3 Cannon Punch
Level 28 : 3 Cannon Punch
Level 29 : 3 Cannon Punch
Level 30 : 3 Cannon Punch

End Results –
Maxed Buildup Cannon
Maxed Cannon Splash
16 Cannon Punch
Maxed Gigantic Backstep

Reasons –
Level 1 Gigantic Backstep for extra mobility. Max Buildup Cannon first as it gives a good attack boost and help you to save pots. Max Cannon Splash next as it is your primary attack skill. Max Gigantic Backstep next for a lower MP Cost. Cannon Punch is left to the last and is not maxed as it pales when compared to the other skills and Cannon Splash is a better option for training.

Speed Build
Level 10 : 1 Cannon Splash
Level 11 : 1 Gigantic Backstep; 2 Buildup Cannon [You may wish to pump 1 Cannon Punch here]
Level 12 : 3 Buildup Cannon

Level 26 : 3 Cannon Punch
Level 27 : 3 Cannon Punch
Level 28 : 3 Cannon Punch
Level 29 : 3 Cannon Punch
Level 30 : 3 Cannon Punch

End Results –
Maxed Buildup Cannon
Maxed Cannon Splash
16 Cannon Punch
Maxed Gigantic Backstep

Reasons –
This build is built on a similar style to the build above. The only different part is that you max Gigantic Backstep first instead of Cannon Splash. Go for this build if you like faster mobility as it really saves alot more MP for spamming Gigantic Backstep. (especially if your damage is high enough to 1 hit with level 1 Cannon Splash or even Gigantic Backstep)

Level 70 : 3 Cannon Booster (Maxed)

End Results –
Maxed Critical Fire
Maxed Cannon Mastery
Maxed Pirate Training
16 Slug Shot
Maxed Monkey Barrel Rush
Maxed Cannon Booster
Maxed Monkey Magic

Reasons –
Level 1 Slug Shot and Monkey Barrel Rush is pretty much self-explanatory. Level 5 Cannon Mastery to unlock Cannon Booster and pump it to level 6 for a decent duration. Max Cannon Mastery for a more stabilized damage. Max Pirate Training and Monkey Magic next for more stats. Max Critical Fire after that for more damage. Max Monkey Barrel Rush next for higher damage and it will serves as your ‘rush’ skill. Slug Shot is not maxed as it will be instantly replaced with a better one at 3rd job.

You can make the following tweaks to the build for a more specialized build:
Attack Build – Pump Cannon Booster only after maxing Monkey Magic
Not advisable as Cannon has very slow attack speed. Also, Cannon Shooter has very high damage.

Stats Build – Pump/Max Pirate Training first before Cannon Mastery
You might want to consider this build if you are really lacking of DEX and yet do not want to add in any DEX for good reasons.

Suggested Training Areas

Maxed Cannon Reinforcement
Maxed Extreme Vital
Maxed Cannon Counter
Maxed Cannon Spike
Maxed/16 Monkey Power Bomb (Depending on your choice)
16/Maxed Monkey Wave (Depending on your choice)
Maxed Monkey Wave

Reasons –
Level 1 Cannon Spike to replace Slug Shot. Level 1 Cannon Jump for extra mobility. Max Cannon Reinforcement for more damage. Max Cannon Spike next as it is spam-able and likely be your main attack skill. Max Cannon Counter next for a chance of extra hit when monster attack you. Max Extreme Vital next for extra survivability. Max Lucky Dice for the buff. Choose to max either Monkey Wave/Monkey Power Boom now as you cannot max all skills in 3rd Job. I would prefer Monkey Power Boom as I dislike having to store to attack, but I will leave it to you to decide. Max Oak Roulette next as it will be useful. Finally, max Cannon Jump for lower MP Cost. Dump the rest to the last skill.

Suggested Training Areas

Cannon Shooter will do better on flat platforms due to the nature of his skills.

Level 70-80: EXP Potion Obtained from 1+1 Event (If applicable)
Level 70-78: Sand Rats and/or Scorpions at Magatia
I would suggest Sahel 2 map due to higher spawn rate.

Level 70-85: Triple Rumo at Magatia
Triple Rumo drops Angelic Bless Ring Recipe and also is a flat map with good spawn rate.

Level 70-83: Iron Mutae at Magatia
Level 82-90: Roid and/or Neo Huroid at Magatia
Level 87-92: Homun at Magatia
Level 88-94: Saitie at Magatia
Level 93-98: Homunculus at Magatia
Level 95-110: Kru and Captain at Herb Town
Level 105-120: Dual Ghost Pirate at Ludibrium Clock Tower
Awesome spawn rate. Enough said.

Level 105-120: Master Death Teddy at Ludibrium Clock Tower
They drops Angelic Bless Ring recipe which is highly valued. However, it is usually hard to find maps here. Master Death Teddy also hits hard as well.

Level 110-115: Afterlord at Neo City
Single + Flat Platform Map which makes it a good training map. However, you need to do the required quest to gain access to this area.

Level 115-120: Spirit Viking at Ludibrium Clock Tower

Important: Do not forget Monster Park and PQs too.

Completion of the Cannon Master (4th Job)

Suggested Skill Builds

I will only provide a rough guide on this build because not everybody is able to get the mastery books in order.

Simple Build
Level 120 : 1 Overburning Cannon; 1 Cannon Bazooka; 1 Cannon Buster
Level 121 : 1 Support Monkey Twins; 1 Hyper Monkey Spell; 1 Magnetic Anchor
Level 122 : 1 Battleship Nautilus; 1 Double Lucky Dice; 1 Hyper Monkey Spell

Highest Priority to lowest of skills to max:
Double Lucky Dice – Awesome buff and does not take much to max
Overburning Cannon – Extremely High Damage Buff
Pirate’s Spirit – More Counter chances and additional DPS
Cannon Bazooka – Main Training Skill
Cannon Buster – Main Bossing Skill
Hyper Monkey Magic – More Stats
Twin Monkey Support – Longer duration and damage
Magnetic Anchor – Higher damage output
Level 29 Maple Warrior – No difference in stats between level 29 and maxed Maple Warrior
Level 1 Hero’s Will – No explanation needed here
Level 28 Battleship Nautilus – Not maxed as you will not be using it much

Reasons –
Level 1 Overburning Cannon for the high damage increase. Level 1 Cannon Buster and Cannon Bazooka to be your main attack skill from now on. Level 1 Support Monkey Twins for more damage. Level 1 Hyper Monkey Magic for more stats. Level 1 Battleship Nautilus..well…who doesn’t want to see the epicness of their very own ultimate?! Level 1 Double Lucky Dice for extra duration and a chance to get double buff or enhanced buff. Level 1 Hyper Monkey Spell again as it gives 1 more stat on level 2. (which will subsequently only give 1 more every 2 levels)

Tweaks that can be made-
Stats Build – Max Hyper Monkey Magic after maxing Overburning Cannon.
Adopt this build if you need more DEX

Specialization- Choice between bossing or training
If you are only planning to go bossing, then max Cannon Buster first.
If you are planning to train first, then max Cannon Bazooka first.
If you can’t decide or want to juggle between bossing and training (Hybrid), then max both of them at the same pace.

I would recommend the Hybrid build.

Suggested Training Areas

Level 120 onwards: Go for bossing
Daily Papulutus is a must. Go for Zakum Arms training for good EXP as well. (Up till 14x)

Level 120-125: Master Death Teddy & Gigantic Spirit Viking at Ludibrium Clock Tower
Master Death Teddy drops Angelic Bless Ring Recipe.

Level 120-130: Past Leafre
Monsters here range from level 123-127. They have some good flat maps here as well. However, you would need to complete the Cross Hunter Quests to gain access to this area. Also, monsters here have higher defense rate than the other monsters of this level range despite having the same stats.

Level 120-140: Blue Dragon Turtle, Red Dragon Turtle, Rexton, Green Cornian, Brexton, Dark Cornian, Dark Wyvern, Transforming Jr. Newtie & Jr. Newtie’s Mini Dungeon in Leafre
Entrance to Dragon Forest – Good at 120-128
Dragon Forest II – Good at 125-132
Dragon Forest III – Good at 127-135
Entrance to Dragon Nest – Good at 135-138
Newt Secured Zone – Good at 135-140

Progress through the monsters based on your own preferences and damage

Level 136 onwards: Time Temple and Future Ereve

There isn’t much options at this level especially when the Party Play Zones were removed. You should be using Monster Park & Bossing the most at this point. PQs are not bad either. There are quite a number of PQs unlocked at level 120.

A : Basically, you can ‘share’ the skill with another character in the same account & world at level 70.

Q : Do the link skills stack?

A : Yes if they are different. (ie. Pirate’s Blessing, Elf’s Blessing, Demon’s Fury) No if they are the same skill.

Q : How does Cannon Counter works?

A : It avoids damage (physical or magical) and inflict damage based on your own attack power. It does NOT works like Final Attack. It is the common misconception people has.

Equipments Related to Cannon Shooter-
Q : What equipments does Cannon Shooter wears?

A : Any Pirate Equipments and only wields Cannon.

Other Stuffs Related to Cannon Shooter-
Q : Will there be a free slot given for Cannon Shooter?

Info for Mercedes

Mercedes is part of the 5 Legendary Heroes that once fought the Black Magician. She is the Archer Hero and also the Queen of her hometown, Eurel.

Storyline:

After the battle with the Black Magician, Mercedes wakes up in a battlefield and spots Freud and Afrien. The Onyx Dragon tells her that his master took the curse to protect him and died. Even though Afrien was very weak, he managed to leave behind an egg to what will be Evan in the next century. He then warp Mercedes back to her hometown, Eurel, victim of the Black Magician’s curse. The Elf Queen warns her citizens about the curse and tries doing everything in her power to prevent it from happening, even going so forth to seal off Eurel from outsiders. However, her attempts were in vain. Soon, the entire town, including Mercedes herself, was frozen due to the curse of the Black Magician.

When Mercedes finally awaken after a century, she realized that her town was still frozen! She then decided to set off on a journey to get help from the Maple World to undo the curse. However, she felt that she was not strong enough now to fight the slimes outside Eurel. As such, she started training by herself using the puppets in her town. Afterwhich, she finally set off on her journey.

For more info: Full Mercedes Storyline – Max’s Blog

Other Info:
Mercedes wields Dual Bowgun and Magic Arrow instead of using the normal arrows. Magic Arrow grants an infinite projectiles. As such Mercedes do not require any arrows to attack. Furthermore, Magic Arrow can be potentialed! The only downside is that Magic Arrow does not give Weapon Attack like some arrows do.

Mercedes possess the highest mobility out of the 3 classes released in the Legend Update. (in fact highest in the entire game!) She also shoots at an epic fast rate. (Also the highest in the 3 classes) However, she has the lowest base damage and HP when compared to the other 2 classes. Nevertheless, his weakness can be overcome by good equipments which will then make Mercedes possess the highest DPS in the game allowing her to boss with ease.

Pros and Cons for Mercedes

Pros :

Level 29 : 3 Sharp Aim
Level 30 : 3 Sharp Aim (Maxed)

End Results –
Maxed Potential Power
Maxed Sharp Aim
Maxed Speed Dualshot
Maxed Acrobatic Jump

Reasons –
I personally don’t recommend this build as you can easily level by doing quest at this level and also Speed Dualshot does not add much damage. Either way, you should max Acrobatic Jump first for its marvelous mobility.

Level 63 : 3 Cross Piercing
Level 64 : 3 Cross Piercing
Level 65 : 3 Cross Piercing
Level 66 : 1 Cross Piercing; 2 Dual Bowgun Booster
Level 67 : 3 Dual Bowgun Booster
Level 68 : 3 Dual Bowgun Booster
Level 69 : 3 Dual Bowgun Booster
Level 70 : 3 Dual Bowgun Booster (Maxed)

End Results –
Maxed Final Shot
Maxed Dual Bowgun Mastery
Maxed Final Attack: Dual Bowgun
Maxed Physical Training
18 Cross Piercing
Maxed Charge Drive
Maxed Dual Bowgun Booster
Maxed Spirit Infusion

Reasons –
Level 1 Cross Piercing, Charge Drive and Final Shot for damage. Pump level 5 Dual Bowgun Mastery to unlock booster. Pump level 6 Dual Bowgun Booster for a decent duration. Max Spirit Infusion next for damage buff followed by Physical Training for stats. Physical Training provides lower damage as compared to Spirit Infusion. Max Final Shot first as it provides higher damage than Charge Drive. Max Final Attack: Dual Bowgun next for additional damage. Pump level 16 Cross Piercing as you cannot max all the skills. Cross Piercing is left out as it will be replaced instantly on 3rd Job. Max Dual Bowgun Booster for extra duration.

You can make some tweaks to the build as shown below-
Stats Build – Pump/Max Physical Training after putting 1 SP to the 3 attack skills.
As usual…adopt this build if you need more STR to wear your equipments

Damage Build – Max Spirit Infusion after putting 1 SP to the 3 attack skills.
Adopt this build if you want to have a higher damage output earlier. However, do note that that you will face inconsistently with your attacks if you do not max mastery first

Skipping Dual Bowgun Booster – Leave out the 6 SP put to Booster till a later level
I would STRONGLY NOT recommend this. There is a huge difference in delay if you don’t use booster. Try it yourself and you will get it

Final Attack first – Max Final Attack before maxing Charge Drive
Consider this build if you can 1 hit monsters

Cross Piercing first – Level 16 Cross Piercing before Charge Drive
I would say there is not of much difference between levels of Cross Piercing. (1 level=additional 1% damage) Also, you will mainly be using Charge Drive + Final Shot for high damage output. Anyways, you may consider this if you are using Cross Piercing as your main attack skill.

Suggested Training Areas

Mercedes would do the best on flat maps due to the nature of her skills.

Level 30-35: EXP Potion Obtained from 1+1 Event (If applicable)
Level 30-40: Mushroom Castle and/or Kerning Square Quests/Training
Helmet Pepe and Royal Guard Pepe are good choices for training at this level.

Level 41-50: CDs OR Mannequins at Kerning Square
Level 47-53: Copper Drakes/Drakes/Red Drake at Sleepywood Dungeon
Level 52-56: White Fang at El Nath (The Map with the Merchant NPC)

Level 50-64: Chryse Quest and Training (especially good for training after revamp)
Mammoth and Golden Mammoth are very good options before or after revamp due to the map being flat and is a single platform.
Level 48-52: Toy Trojans at Ludibrium
Level 52-59: Robo and/or Master Robo at Ludibrium Toy Factory

End Results –
Maxed Highkick Demolition
Maxed Strike Dualshot
Maxed Leap Tornado
16 Unicorn Spike
Maxed Gust Drive
Maxed Ignis Lore
Maxed Water Shield
Maxed Elemental Knight

Reasons –
Level 1 Strike Dualshot to replace Cross Piercing. Level 1 Highkick Demolition to replace Final Shot. Level 1 Gust Drive, Leap Tornado and Unicorn Spike for more variety and versatility. Max Ignis Lore first for damage buff and survivability. Max Water Shield next for survivability. At this point, the build will be highly dependent on your preference. (Refer to below for a explanation) Max Gust Drive now for its awesome damage and movement. Unicorn Spike is not maxed as it isn’t that good with the cooldown and you are liken to forget about this skill when you gain Legendary Spear at 4th Job. Elemental Knight is maxed last as it is not a very good training skill.

Tweaks that can be made-
Specialization- Choice for your style
Strike Dualshot if you prefer spamability and Assassin like style
Highkick Demolition if you prefer damage and Charge Drive (Good on flat platform)
Leap Tornado if you are training on maps with multiple vertical platforms

Reason for my choice- I prefer spamability over anything else and I also dislike having my Mercedes going so close to monsters as she had low HP. Leap Tornado is maxed last in my build as I find a hassle to use it for training as it will not activate if you are not of a height of 120% making it a serious problem in uneven maps. However, Leap Tornado is a very good bossing skill.

Unicorn Spike OR Highkick Demolition OR Gust Dive- Choice between which to max
You can max Unicorn Spike if you want to. I prefer Highkick Demolition as there is a passive effect even though the active effects will be replaced in 4th Job. Gust Dive is also maxed as it may still be in your combo list at 4th job. On the other hand, I did not max Unicorn Spike as it is not spamable making it easily forgotten especially when there is a better alternative on 4th Job.

Anyways, I would recommend anyone to max Gust Dive.

Suggested Training Areas

Level 70-80: EXP Potion Obtained from 1+1 Event (If applicable)
Level 70-79: Sand Rats and/or Scorpions at Magatia
I would suggest Sahel 2 map due to higher spawn rate.

Level 72-86: Triple Rumo at Magatia
Triple Rumo drops Angelic Bless Ring Recipe and also is a flat map with good spawn rate.

Level 72-83: Iron Mutae at Magatia
Flat map with decent spawn rate.

Level 82-90: Roid and/or Neo Huroid at Magatia
Level 87-92: Homun at Magatia
Level 88-94: Saitie at Magatia
Level 93-98/100: Homunculus at Magatia
Level 100-110: Kru and Captain at Herb Town
Level 105-120: Dual Ghost Pirate at Ludibrium Clock Tower
Awesome spawn rate. Enough said.

Level 110-115: Afterlord at Neo City
Single + Flat Platform Map which makes it a good training map. However, you need to do the required quest to gain access to this area.

Level 110-120: Master Death Teddy at Ludibrium Clock Tower
They drops Angelic Bless Ring recipe which is highly valued. However, it is usually hard to find maps here. You may also have survivability problems.

Level 115-120: Spirit Viking at Ludibrium Clock Tower

Mercedes will do well in Ludibrium Clock Tower due her high mobility. You may consider training in those maps earlier such as Buffy if you want to.

Important: Do not forget Monster Park and PQs too.

Suggested Skill Builds

I will only provide a rough guide on this build because not everybody is able to get the mastery books in order.

Simple Build
Level 120 : 1 Advanced Final Attack; 1 Ring of Ishtar; 1 Rolling Moonsault
Level 121 : 1 Dual Bowgun Expert; 1 Legendary Spear; 1 Ancient Spirit

Highest Priority to lowest of skills to max:
Ancient Spirit – VERY Important! Survivability and damage purposes
Dual Bowgun Expert – Stable Damage
Defense Break – Good Combination with Ring of Ishtar for bossing purposes
Advanced Final Attack – Good Combination with Ring of Ishtar for bossing purposes
Ring of Ishtar – Bossing purposes
Rolling Moonsault – Higher damage output; Training Purposes
Level 29 Maple Warrior – Only longer duration when maxed, no difference in stats between level 29 or maxed Maple Warrior
Legendary Spear – Debuff and Additional Leap Tornado damage
Lightning Edge – Least Useful skill in my opinion due to its cooldown
Level 4 Hero’s Will – Dump the rest to here. No explanation needed here I guess…

Reasons –
Level 1 Advanced Final Attack for the high damage increase. Level 1 Ring of Ishtar to be your main bossing skill. Level 1 Rolling Moonsault to replace Highkick Demolition and combo purposes. Level 1 Dual Bowgun Expert for more mastery. Level 1 Legendary Spear for the additional Leap Tornado damage.

Tweaks that can be made:
Specialization- Choice Between bossing and training
At this level you are likely to boss more than just grinding, as such, I would recommend you to go for bossing instead.
Bossing Skill Set: Defense Break -> Advanced Final Attack -> Ring of Ishtar -> Rolling Moonsault
Training Skill Set: Rolling Moonsault -> Defense Break -> Advanced Final Attack -> Ring of Ishtar

You can also adopt the hybrid skill set if you want to.
Hybrid Skill Set: Defense Break -> Rolling Moonsault -> Advanced Final Attack -> Ring of Ishtar

Suggested Training Areas

Level 120 onwards: Go for bossing
Daily Papulutus is a must. Go for Zakum Arms training for good EXP as well. (Up till 14x)

Level 120-125: Master Death Teddy & Gigantic Spirit Viking
Master Death Teddy drops Angelic Bless Ring Recipe.

Level 120-130: Past Leafre
Monsters here range from level 123-127. They have some good flat maps here as well. However, you would need to complete the Cross Hunter Quests to gain access to this area. Also, monsters here have higher defense rate than the other monsters of this level range despite having the same stats.

Level 123-140: Blue Dragon Turtle, Red Dragon Turtle, Rexton, Green Cornian, Brexton, Dark Cornian, Dark Wyvern, Transforming Jr. Newtie & Jr. Newtie’s Mini Dungeon in Leafre
Entrance to Dragon Forest – Good at 123-127
Dragon Forest II – Good at 126-132
Dragon Forest III – Good at 131-136
Entrance to Dragon Nest – Good at 135-138
Newt Secured Zone – Good at 137-142

Progress through the monsters based on your own preferences and damage

Level 138 onwards: Time Temple and Future Ereve

There isn’t much options at this level especially when the Party Play Zones were removed. You should be using Monster Park & Bossing the most at this point. PQs are not bad either. There are quite a number of PQs unlocked at level 120.

Info for Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer used to be one of the Black Magician’s Generals a century ago. However, he later joined the Resistance as the Warrior Class.

Storyline:
A century ago, Demon Slayer, who had served under the Black Magician for many years, suddenly realizes the Black Magician had became an absolute ruler such that he could no longer serve him. He then tells Masetuma (who later become a cat and your job insturctor), another henchman of the Black Magician, of the reasons that made him think that way when he encountered her.

(A few days ago, the Demon Slayer met the other Black Wing Generals namely Orca, Van Leon and Akyrum, who were planning to burn down his town. After learning of the their intents, Demon Slayer rushed back to his hometown, only to find himself too late. His house was already in flames. He then spots a locket and open it. Engraved was a photo of his sister and his mother who were both killed. He vowed to take revenge.)

In his rage, he attacks Akyrum at the Temple of Time, but in vain. Akyrum summons some monsters, but was easily defeated by Demon Slayer. As Akyrum is about to make an all out attack on Demon Slayer, the Black Magician opens up his doors, granting Demon Slayer permission to enter.

A fight between the Black Magician and Demon Slayer ensued resulting in Demon Slayer being sealed in an Egg after his defeat.
(Turn on the Caption/CC for English Sub for the video below)

A century later, Demon Slayer wakes up and finds himself in the Black Wing’s lab in Edelstein. He then kills two Black Magician Rabbit Guards with ease. J, a Resistance member, who witnessed the whole thing, brings him back to their base and recruits him to the Resistance. From then on, Demon Slayer only seeks revenge, tracking down the Black Magician for the rest of his life to avenge his family, and killing those who betrayed him.

Other Info:
Demon Slayer wields 1-handed blunt weapon and 1-handed axe. He is also able to wield scepters which are also classified as 1-handed blunt weapon. They are given at job advancements and quest with the final one given at 4th job.

Demon Slayer possesses and uses a unique system called the Demon Force (DF). Basically, it acts MP. However, it can only be replenished through killing monsters, using Demon Slash and overtime. (obtained at 3rd Job) MaxDF can only be increased through Force Shield which will be upgraded at each job advancement. Refer to here for more info about Force Shield. Also, Demon Slayer uses HP and/or DF for most of his skills.

Demon Slayer has the highest bossing potential and HP out of the 3 classes in the Legend Update. He draws a good balance between attack speed and damage and possesses an unbelievable mobility for a warrior. However, Demon Slayer is unable to spam his skills due to the low MaxDF.

Pros and Cons for Demon Slayer

Pros :

– Relatively High Mobility
– Alot of Mobbing Skills
– High Bossing Potential
– High Attack Speed
– High Movement Speed
– Ultimate with no cooldown
– High HP
– Pots saving (Not before 3rd Job)

Cons :
– Unable to spam skills without using Demon Slash
– Low MaxDF

AP, SP and Skills Related Info

Demon Slayer will receive 5 AP and 3 SP each level up.

AP Build

Reason- Since BB, all warrior can be pure STR without having to worry about accuracy. You may consider having some DEX of not exceeding 20 if you wan to wear the level 140 equipments which requires 160 DEX.

End Results –
Maxed Weapon Mastery
Maxed Physical Training
Maxed Outrage
Maxed Demon Slash 1st Reinforcement
Maxed Soul Eater
Maxed Dark Thrust
13 Demon Trace
Maxed Dark Revenge

Reasons –
Maxed Demon Slash 1st Reinforcement as Demon Slash is your main attack skill. Level 1 Outrage for its high attack increase. Level 1 Dark Thrust for more mobility. Max Weapon Mastery first for stable damage. Max Outrage next for damage. After that, Max Physical Training for stats. Max Dark Thrust first for more damage followed by Soul Eater. (Depends on your choice, Refer below) Max Dark Revenge last as it is not crucial for training at this point. Dump the remaining SP to Dark Revenge as it is the most useless skill as it is way too unpredictable even when it is directed.

You can make some tweaks to the build as shown below-
Damage Build – Max Outrage first instead of Weapon Mastery
Use this build if you want to inflict high damage. However, without Mastery, your damage will be very unstable.

Soul Eater or Dark Thrust – Choice between which to max first
Soul Eater is a good attacking skill if are fighting monsters that have high HP such as Monster Park or in maps where there are multiple short platforms. However, you will be burning HP pots quickly as well.
On the other hand, Dark Thrust will be the better choice for training on flat platform. Its also makes an excellent combination with Demon Slash allowing you seemingly unlimited DF. I personally use this combo to train till 120. Even at 4th job, I still use it occasionally.

Level 1 Demon Trace – Pump 1 Demon Trace at level 31
Adopt this build if you find it useful. Its main purpose it to teleport you, so it should be fine at level 1. I find it really unpredictable though.

Suggested Training Areas

Demon Slayer will be able to train on higher level monsters earlier due to its high damage and hit. It will do better on flat maps.

Level 30-35: EXP Potion Obtained from 1+1 Event (If applicable)
Level 30-45: Mushroom Castle and/or Kerning Square Quests/Training
Helmet Pepe and Royal Guard Pepe are good choices for training at Level 30-35. Mannequins and CDs will be good at 35-45.

Level 42-45: Toy Trojans at Ludibrium
Level 45-55: Robos and/or Master Robo at Ludibrium
Level 50-70: Sand Rat and/or Scorpion at Magatia
Level 50-70: Royal Cactus at Ariant
Level 60-70: Iron Mutae at Magatia
Level 60-70: Triple Rumo at Magatia
Triple Rumo drops Angelic Bless Ring Recipe.

Level 60-70: Roid at Magatia
You will miss a hella lot at this level, but I heard it is a good training place. Try it out if this applies to you. Otherwise, I would suggest coming here at 65+ or completely forget about this at this stage.

Level 60-70: Mateon/Zeta Gray/Plateon/Mecateon at Omega Sector
Zeta Gray and Mecateon drops Angelic Bless Ring Recipe.

Remember Monster Park and PQs as well!
Note: Should you feel that you are unable to cope with the monsters at the suggested levels, you can always go a level down.

End Results –
Maxed Evil Torture
Maxed Concentration
Maxed Force Guard
Maxed Max Force
Maxed Demon Slash 2nd Reinforcement
18 Dark Judgement
Maxed Death Draw
Maxed Bloody Raven
Maxed Dark Endure
Maxed Demonic Breath

Reasons –
Max Demon Slash 2nd Reinforcement as it is your main attack skill. Level 1 Bloody Raven for HP recovery. Level 1 Demonic Breath to replace Soul Eater. Level 1 Concentration for damage. Level 1 Death Draw for variety. Level 1 Dark Judgement for its huge range and damage output. Max Max Force first as it is important to gather DF quickly and it does not take much to max. Max Concentration next for the high damage increase. Max Bloody Raven to save pots followed by Force Guard. Max Dark Endure next for its huge reduction in damage taken especially magical damage. Max Demonic Breath and Evil Torture next for additional DPS. Max Death Draw last as it is not really useful as compared to Dark Thrust. Dark Judgement is not maxed as it will be instantly replaced at 4th job.

Tweaks that can be made-
Damage Build – Max Demonic Breath and Evil Torture first before Bloody Raven
Consider this if you have a ton of HP pots and uses Demonic Breath as your main attack skill.
Demonic Breath is similar to Soul Eater where it will work best in Monster Park. In training, I would say if will be ranked behind Dark Thrust + Dark Slash combo.

Order of Bloody Raven, Force Guard and Dark Endure – Choice of which to max first
Bloody Raven to save HP pots
Force Guard for a chance to guard against attacks
Dark Endure will be good in places where monster have magical elemental attack. Being a warrior, you will receive the damage w/o much reduction if you don’t have Dark Endure.

Choose your combination that suits you.

Suggested Training Areas

Level 70-75: Iron Mutae at Magatia
Level 70-82: Triple Rumo at Magatia
Well, if you are not hunting for Angelic Bless Ring Recipe you can go ahead and go for other maps earlier on.

Level 70-85: Roid and/or Neo Huroid at Magatia
Level 80-90: Homun at Magatia
Level 84-95: Homunculus at Magatia
Level 90-100: Kru and Captain at Herb Town
Level 100-120: Dual Ghost Pirate at Ludibrium Clock Tower
Awesome spawn rate. Enough said.

Level 100-105: Overlord B at Neo City
It is a map with 2 flat platforms with decent spawn. However, you need to do the required quests to gain access to this map.

Level 100-120: Master Death Teddy at Ludibrium Clock Tower
They drops Angelic Bless Ring recipe which is highly valued. However, it is usually hard to find maps here.

Level 110-115:: Afterlord at Neo City
Single + Flat Platform Map which makes it a good training map. However, you need to do the required quests to gain access to this area.

Level 110-120: Royal Guard and/or Imperial Guard at Neo City
Level 110-120: Zakum Arm Training
Pretty Good EXP and is way better than grinding facing the same old monster. However, whether this is viable/good is pretty much depending on your funding/equipment at this stage. I would suggest you to be at least level 110 before attempting so that you will not miss.

Level 115-120: Spirit Viking at Ludibrium Clock Tower

Important: Do not forget Monster Park and PQs too.

Level 120 : 1 Demon Slash Final Reinforcement (Maxed); 1 Dark Bind; 1 Demon Impact; 1 Vampiric Touch
Level 121 : 1 Metamorphosis; 1 Devil Cry; 1 Demon Explosion
Level 122 : 1 Advanced Weapon Mastery; 1 Infinite Force; 1 Hard Skin (Optional)

Highest Priority to lowest of skills to max:
Metamorphosis – Damage Increase + Auto-Attack. Works like Advanced Dark Aura. What more can you ask for?
Advanced Weapon Mastery – Stable Damage and will improve your Demon Impact damage significantly
Demon Impact – Best Bossing skill in your arsenal
Vampiric Touch – Higher HP drain
Dark Bind – Higher Ignore Defense Rate
Devil Cry – Good Debuff that will enable Evil Torture bonus and also additional EXP on monsters
Level 29 Maple Warrior – No point in maxing since the stats increase is capped at 15%
Hard Skin – More Defense
Demon Explosion – Would be good if not of the high Force Cost
Infinite Force – Useless as it just last too short with its long cooldown

Reasons –
Level 1 Demon Slash Final Reinforcement as it is your primary attack skill. Level 1 Dark Bind for the ignore defense. Level 1 Demon Impact for its high damage output. Level 1 Vampiric Touch for HP drain and is decent enough at level 1. Both Vampiric Touch and Demon Impact is crucial for bossing. Level 1 Metamorphosis for additional damage. Level 1 Devil Cry for its debuff and spamable ultimate. Level 1 Demon Explosion for its high damage output. Level 1 Infinite Force for spamming skills occasionally. Level 1 Hard Skin if you want the good starter damage reduction.

Tweaks that can be made:
Vampiric Touch – Timing of when to max it
Vampiric Touch is sufficient at level 1, but if you feel that it is not sufficient, you can max it earlier. You may also want to pump it later, however, it should be maxed no later than 165.

Suggested Training Areas

Level 120 onwards: Bossing
Daily Papulutus is a must. Go for Zakum Arms training for good EXP as well. (Up till 14x) If you can down the Zakum body, go ahead on it.

Level 120-125: Hunting Ani at Von Leon Castle
If love bossing this much, you can try this. This can be good EXP if you have good damage. However, you will not get any mesos or items here.

Entrance to Dragon Forest – Good at 120-125
Dragon Forest II – Good at 123-130
Dragon Forest III – Good at 125-133
Entrance to Dragon Nest – Good at 130-136
Newt Secured Zone – Good at 132-136

Progress through the monsters based on your own preferences and damage

Level 135 onwards: Time Temple, Future Ereve and Past Time Temple

There isn’t much options at this level especially when the Party Play Zones were removed. You should be using Monster Park & Bossing the most at this point. PQs are still pretty good for EXP now. There are quite a number of PQs unlocked at level 120.

Q & A for Demon Slayer

Character Development/Creation –
Q : How to create Demon Slayer?

A : Look out for a picture that looks like the one shown here.

Q : I would like to change class to Demon Slayer, can I?

A : Of course not.

Q : What is the play style of Demon Slayer?

A : A world filled with evil where power is everything. Demon Slayer fares well in every aspect be it speed or damage. If you simply love bossing, this is likely to be the choice for you. Demon Slayer is similar to Battlemage.

Q : Will Demon Slayer be nerfed in the future?

A : Well, who knows. However, Demon Slayer is likely to be nerfed out the 3 Legend Classes as it is too overpowered now.

Skills Related –
Q : Will Demon Slayer have Bless of Fairy/Empress Blessing?

A : Yes.

Q : I still don’t get the Link Skill. How exactly does it works?

A : Basically, you can ‘share’ the skill with another character in the same account & world at level 70.

Q : Do the link skills stack?

A : Yes if they are different. (ie. Pirate’s Blessing, Elf’s Blessing, Demon’s Fury) No if they are the same skill.

Q: Does Devil Cry debuff work on bosses?

A : It works except for the EXP/Drop rate increase.

Q: Since Demon Slayer’s Maple Warrior is different, does this means that there is a different set of Mastery Book for it?

A : No. It uses the same set of Mastery Book.

Equipments Related to Demon Slayer –
Q : What equipments does Demon Slayer wears?

A : Any Warrior Equipments and only wields one-handed blunt weapon (including scepters) or one-handed axe.

Other Stuffs Related to Demon Slayer-
Q : Will there be a free slot given for Demon Slayer?

A: Only 1 slot is given for the entire Legend Update in Korea.

Q : Does Demon Slayer share his wardrobe with the other Resistance characters?

A : No. He has his own wardrobe.

Q : Does Demon Slayer start on Edelstein?

A : Yes. However, your tutorial will take place in the past in Time Temple.

  1. As a general guide, I have only trained my Cannon Shooter up to 5x, Mercedes up to 10x & Demon Slayer to 15x when I wrote this guide.

So I may be lacking in certain aspects (especially the Training Areas) and Cannon Shooter section may be neglected due to my lack of experience

As such, I would appreciate any suggestions to any part of this guide. Thanks!

Update : Justice Patch have nerfed all 3 classes. Changes coming up soon. (Demon Slayer got it very badly while Mercedes got off lightly)

  2. such NICE link system.. i am ‘forced’ to train these 3 chars!!!

  3. Status Update: JMS is getting Cannon Shooter and Mercedes on 19 Oct, Demon Slayer on 16 Nov

this is insanely fast…it hasn’t even been 4 months when the 1st Legend patch was released in KMS!!! Also, JMS havent even released

Teaser Website with Epic Trailer – maplestory.nexon.co.jp/campaign/legend.asp

GMS has also shown signs of it. Translated data of Cannon was added in the recent Ascension Patch.

PS: MSEA release Chaos on 19 Oct while JMS release Legend on 19 Oct. Congrats MSEA, just grats. I wish you good luck from now on.

  4. this is amazinG!!!! =D great work!!
finally GMS is finally gettin these!!! cant wait for mercedes!!!-hope they have as much mercedes welcoming quests! =D
